Get Lean Team Terms and Conditions
All participants of the Get Lean Team (GLT) bootcamps must read all the terms and conditions and be fully aware of the risks associated with these activities.
Personal Accident Insurance is strongly recommended.
GLT agrees to provide indoor/outdoor group training sessions in Torquay led by a Coach, using bodyweight exercises to develop the qualities of strength, fitness and overall health.
Please note, in agreeing to the below terms and conditions, you will be applying for and entering into a legally binding contract with GLT.
1. Interpretation
In this document the following expression shall have the following meanings respectively:-
GLT means Get Lean Team.
‘Head office’ means Get Lean Team, 14, The Manor House Apartments, Seaway Lane, Torquay, Devon, TQ2 6PS
‘Client’ is the person or persons listed on the booking form(s).
2. Training Membership Conditions
2.1 Members must be 16 years or over.
2.2 All clients undertake all training at their own risk. You should always discuss any new exercise regime and participation in our training sessions, treatments, events and other programmes with your GP. If you decide to participate in any of these activities and/or use any equipment and machinery without the approval of your doctor, you will assume all responsibility for your participation in the activities, and use of any equipment and machinery in the activities.
2.3 It is your responsibility to advise your trainer of any health issues or injuries that may impact your ability to undertake any or all of the training before each training session commences. If you experience any symptom or injury during a session you must immediately notify the trainer or practitioner.
In consideration of being allowed to participate in the activities, events and programmes of GLT and to use the facilities and equipment owned and/or under the control of GLT or our staff, in addition to the payment of any fee or charge, you waive, release and forever discharge GLT from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages resulting from your participation in any activities or your use of equipment or facilities in the above mentioned activities.
2.4 Strength, flexibility and aerobic exercise, including the use of equipment, in the outdoors, are potentially hazardous activities. Exercise and fitness activities involve a risk of injury and even death. You are voluntarily participating in these activities and using equipment and facilities and by doing so you confirm your agreement to assume and accept all and any risks of injury or death.
2.5 You have the right to request advice from any of the GLT staff, at any time, in relation to the activities and exercise being undertaken and, but not exclusively, their suitability for you, with particular regard to your health, safety and clothing. If you choose not to take advice, or to disregard any advice so given, you do so voluntarily and accept liability for all resulting injuries or damage.
2.6 By participating in a GLT training session, event or other programme, whether by free trial or payment, you declare yourself to be physically sound and suffering from no condition, impairment, disease or infirmity or other illness (other than those declared on your completed pre-exercise form) that would prevent your participation or use of equipment or facilities except as herein stated.
2.7 GLT cannot accept responsibility for valuables left at any of the GLT venues
3. Booking & Payment
3.1 GLT use an online third party gym management system called Teamup. All transactions, payments, membership management, class registration, cancellations are caried out through this web app.
3.2 No cash is taken onsite at bootcamp locations. All payments are performed online through Teamup.
3.3 To place a booking GLT requires the Client to sign up via the GLT Teamup page, to fill in the required information and to make their first months payment.
3.4 Monthly membership payments automatically renew on a month-to-month basis. Upon payment clearing in to the GLT bank account the Clients booking will be confirmed.
3.5 All members are responsible for managing their own account and memberships on this system, this includes class registration and membership cancellations.
3.6 GLT reserves the right to decline any booking at their discretion. All bookings are treated as provisional and are only confirmed once the funds have cleared in to the GLT bank account.
4. Membership Cancellation and Suspension
4.1 You may cancel your membership at any time through your Teamup account BEFORE the subsequent payment is due to leave your account. You may notify us of your cancellation by email to mailto:dan@getleanteam.com
4.2 Any request for cancellation and/or a subsequent refund after missing the cancellation deadline will not be permitted and the membership will roll to the next month.
4.3 We can put your membership on hold if you have developed an injury or illness that stops you coming to bootcamp classes. We will require a doctors certificate to put a membership on hold.
5. Acceptance of authority
5.1 The Client must refrain from any conduct which may offend or cause danger or damage to any person or property. If any member of the GLT staff believe that the Client is in breach of this obligation, likely to breach it or is otherwise unfit to partake in the activity GLT may in their absolute discretion refuse the booking or cancel the client’s membership without warning or reason. GLT will owe the Client no liability in such circumstances and the Client will be solely responsible for any costs incurred.
5.2 GLT may require an individual or number of persons to leave the group if they believe that the Client’s health and safety are at risk, if an illegal act has been committed or the Client has behaved in a way as to endanger safety, enjoyment or the welfare of the group as individuals or as a whole. In the event of this action the Client involved shall not be entitled to any refund from GLT and will be required to meet all expenses involved in their immediate extraction.
6. Complaints
If there is a problem during the activity and or service period you must report it to in the first instance the GLT Instructor.
In the unlikely event that the problem cannot be resolved at this time and you wish to raise a complaint full written details must be sent to the The GLT Head Office within 14 days of the activity and or service finishing. Please include the full details of your complaint on your letter; please include your daytime and evening contact telephone numbers. Failure to take these steps will prejudice our ability to resolve your problem and/or investigate it fully therefore any right to compensation you may otherwise have had will be lost or substantially reduced.
7. Conditions of service
As part of the continual review of safety and associated considerations the conditions of booking are subject to change clarification and modification at any time. Only the GLT owners are empowered to waive any of the Conditions of Booking. Such decisions are totally at the discretion of the GLT owners.
8. Law and Jurisdiction
This agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any matters arising out of this Agreement
